"...his back legs were paralyzed."
Tucker lived in a barn with his mom, brothers, and sisters when he got stuck behind the door jam one day. As a result, his back legs were paralyzed. Sadly, his owner realized he wouldn’t be able to give him the care he deserves.
And that’s how Tucker arrived at Misfit Manor. The first thing he did was to visit the docs at the Atlantic Vet College. They did some checks and discovered he had two fractured ribs and L1 and L2 spine subluxation. They told him he’ll need regular physiotherapy to learn how to use his body and keep it in alignment. He would also need a wheelchair.
A wheelchair would give him better mobility and help him maintain an active lifestyle. So Tucker did what he does best: kept an open mind and was soon running and rolling with his foster siblings. He learned there’s always a new adventure to go on with his hot wheels. Only one piece of the puzzle was missing: finding a loving soul to take care of him forever.
"Found his loving family, who understands how special he is..."
He had a feeling sooner or later, things will fall into place. And he was right. This September, Tucker found his loving family, who understands how special he is and helps him enjoy a full life. 😍
The TagsforHope Grant Program covered his wheelchair, regular physiotherapy sessions, acupuncture, Bowen therapy, and training.
This wouldn’t have been possible without your support. Thank you.❤️️
