A kind hearted animal protector heard her faint cries and saved her
Although the hero who rescued her acted immediately, the damage was severe. She was suffering from an advanced infection, and both of her hind legs had to be amputated.
But her story didn’t end there. Thanks to Natalia Orlova, a kind-hearted animal rescuer who heard Mila’s story and didn’t hesitate to travel to Cuba to help her, Mila finally arrived in Canada and received the medical care and love she so desperately needed.
Unfortunately, Mila was diagnosed with hepatozoal cancer, a disease that requires expensive lifelong treatment to prevent complications. And, as she grows, Mila needs prosthetics to prevent spinal deformities and stay strong.
Despite the challenges, Mila is now a very happy puppy, full of life and energy, and loves spending time with her siblings, filling the home with joy.
